What is the metod for cleaning up chrome wheels with slight rust?

What has always worked for me is using a very fine sandpaper.
Unfortuneately this is only very temporary, the sanding takes off the rust, but exposes more metal. There will be more rust soon after cleaning them.
Best way is to get them blasted (RT Speedshop does reasonable Blasting) then get them powdercoating. A good powdercoater has some stuff that is real close to chrome, or you could choos an all new color.
