Alright got a LT1 TA and going to be pulling the motor this winter and having er built. Just wondering what is a good cam kit, and if i will be able to keep my heads (stock) or have to buy new ones. Im looking to get 400HP. And tips or help would be nice. Thanks

well do you have aluminum heads? If you don't buy aftermarket you could spend some dollars and have the stock ones worked on.

i know the LT4 hotcam kit is a very popular swap. that will put you somewhere between 390 to 420 hp depending on other mods with stock bottom end. i haven't looked into that for a very long time, but i think they are still right around $2500. just doing that swap puts you into the high 12s in the 1/4 mile. if you have a good clutch, full exhaust, intake, and some 3.73 gears, you will easily run mid to low 12s. hope this helps.
